Michael originally trained in Latin American Dance (‘Strictly’ style) from a very early age and became European Amateur Latin American Dance Champion at the age of 17. Michael furthered his dance and musical theatre training with a BA (Hons) in Acting and Musical Theatre at The Urdang Academy in Covent Garden and later went on to do his post-grad in Contemporary Dance at London Contemporary Dance School (The Place).
Upon graduating, Michael went on to feature in the Sadler's Wells dance show 'Latin Fever' alongside ‘Strictly’s' Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova, which also included a UK tour.
Following this, Michael appeared as Jamie in Jason Robert Brown's 'The Last 5 Years' opposite Lauren Samuels. He performed the speaking-role of Puck in Benjamin Britten's operatic adaptation of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome under the musical direction of James Conlon, Musical Director of Los Angeles Opera. Upon his return from Rome, he was the male lead in Smirnoff's 'Apple Bite' campaign commercial. This was followed by his assumption of the title role of the mime in the independent short 'A Mime is a Terrible Thing to Waste'.
A career highlight has been playing the lead role in The Lion and Unicorn Theatre's most recent production of Dorian Gray. Michael has also worked as a Choreographer and Assistant Director, most notably in Houston Grand Opera's 'A Christmas Carol' directed by Simon Callow.
